Twifo Wamaso
Twifo Wamaso is a community within the larger Twifo state, an Akan group in Ghana’s Central Region, with a history rooted in Akan migration from the Sahara and Sahel, establishing themselves as an early gold-trading power in the Adanse forest area before relocating to their current settlements near the Pra River.
The people, whose name is thought to derive from “those who speak Twi,” are primarily farmers and have a rich cultural heritage, with Wamaso being one of the key settlements within the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District Assembly
